The Managed Quarantine System is an online portal for everyone travelling to Fiji to secure their place in a managed isolation facility before they board their flight.

1. Who is eligible to enter Fiji?

At present entry into Fiji is restricted to all returning Fijian citizens, permanent residents and persons on approved visas for entry pertaining to education or work purposes, including their dependents. All person’s entry into Fiji may be subjected to further assessment including vaccination status and the countries they have lived in or visited 14 days prior to departure. 2. Do passengers need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to travel to Fiji?

Yes. Any passenger intending to enter Fiji will need to be fully vaccinated. A fully vaccinated status is only acquired once the final dose of the Covid-19 vaccine has been administered.

3. What is the requirement for Fijian Nationals?

Fijian nationals travelling to Fiji can directly book with the airline and secure space through the FMQ website. Fijian Nationals do not need prior approvals for entry, however need to undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival. All requests will be assessed against the availability of quarantine rooms, and shall be confirmed if the rooms quota has not been reached. Anyone wanting to enter Fiji will need to be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination during check-in. All passengers must email a copy of their pre-departure negative RT-PCR test result to [email protected] before traveling along with proof of their fully vaccinated status to be sighted and approved before they commence with their journey.

4. What is the requirement for Foreign Nationals?

All foreign nationals under the current border restrictions are required to request entry into Fiji through the Fiji Department of Immigration before proceeding to securing airline tickets, and quarantine rooms. All requests will be assessed against the availability of quarantine rooms, and shall be confirmed if the rooms quota has not been reached. Anyone wanting to enter Fiji will need to be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination during check-in. 5. Which countries are classified as low-risk and high-risk?

High risk countries are all those classified by the US CDC as having more than 50 new cases per 100,000 population in the last 28 days of their respective country outbreak situation of covid-19. Further details on these can be accessed on the US CDC website.
All countries listed from levels 2-4 respectively, or with an unknown status are considered high risk for entry into Fiji. This list is continuously updated.
Only countries with the risk assessment level of 1 are considered low risk for entry into Fiji.

6. Are travellers allowed to travel to Fiji from high risk countries?

Individual risk assessment for entry predetermines any approval for entry. All applications for entry will be assessed on a case by case basis, and passengers will be advised accordingly.

7. Do travellers have to pay for 14 days quarantine?

All travellers arriving into Fiji must undertake a mandatory 14 days quarantine in a government designated border quarantine facility. A COVID-19 test will be again conducted at the quarantine facility on 2 separate occasions until the passenger exits the quarantine facility.

8. Do travellers have a choice in quarantine hotel?

There is only a limited number of approved quarantine hotels and rooms. Your choice in quarantine hotel may not be available at the time of booking.

9. How can travellers pay for PCR testing?

PCR testing is included in the cost for your Quarantine Accommodation.

10. How soon can one travel to Fiji?

As soon as you have a confirmed quarantine hotel room through the Fiji Managed Quarantine system, along with a confirmed ticket to travel.

11. How do travellers pay for quarantine?

After filling out the FMQ form, a member of the FMQ team will reach out to you to confirm your quarantine hotel room and organize payment.
